What the private beta is for

DRAFT

· By SnipSteps

This post is a draft awaiting the founder's signature. It describes the product as the site shows it, not as the product ships.

Who the first testers are, what we ask of them, and what a beta build can and cannot yet do.

The private beta is a small group of people who document work for a living: application analysts, testers, IT support, trainers. We invite them, they install a build, and they tell us where it gets in the way.

What we ask

  • Capture real tasks in the systems you actually use, with the privacy mode that fits.
  • Tell us which step was named wrong, which screenshot missed, which output you had to fix by hand.
  • Keep the build to yourself for now. It changes often, and an old build in the wrong hands is a support ticket we cannot answer.

What a beta build does not do yet

It does not sync, share or publish. It does not run on macOS. It will sometimes miss a control an application does not expose to assistive technology, and the troubleshooting page says what to check when it does.

How to join

The beta form asks for an address and a role, and confirms by mail. We add people in small groups, in the order they signed up.
